beet greens paratha recipe (चुकंदर के पत्तों का पराठा )

 Now make delicious dishes of beet greens which are attached with beetroots instead of throwing it. You must have heard of palak parathas or spinach parathas which is an Indian flatbread and spinach is also being used for making delicious dishes but what about beet greens? actually beet greens are also as healthy as spinach but it is not involved in trend to cook its various delicious dishes for a great meal.


 

Why should you add beet greens to your diet ?

It contains vitamin A which is beneficial for protection of eyes and reduces acne , vitamin C which helps in wound healing and prevents skin wrinkling and vitamin B6 which boosts your mood ( good for mental health) . It also contain some amount of ironcalcium and magnesium  . beet greens are very low in calories and cholesterol. it is found to be really good for pregnant woman and weight loss diet.

 Today I tried making beet greens paratha (flatbread) and it tasted so delicious. Just don't believe me instead read the blog and try itself..

How to make beet greens paratha?

1. Rinse beet greens in warm water ( change water for three times) and then finally drain it.

2. Chop them very finely and boil them in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes

3. For dough - In a bowl take wheat flour , salt ,  red chili (laal mirch) powder , panipuri powder(optional) , chana masala(optional) , cumin (jeera) powder  , garam masala , turmeric (haldi) powder , chopped beet greens and one table spoon of curd 

4. Mix it with adequate amount of water and knead it to make soft and smooth dough 

5. Now add one table spoon of oil and again knead it

6.  Make rounded balls from it and sprinkle some flour on it then flattened them. Parathas should neither be too thick nor too thin.


 

7. Heat a tawa on a high flame then low the flame before putting paratha on it and then cook it for 2 minutes with oil or ghee and then on medium flame to make it crispy and brown from both sides.


 

8 Serve it with green chutney or raita
